40 Free patches for the Europa Shapeshifting Synthesizer.

I wanted to make a Europa 'one synth song' like I've done for other synths (it helps me learn the device!) So I started making a beat with only Europa..and then I saved patches, expanded on them, and here we are. A free pack of Europa Sounds.

Some cool Pads, Keys, FX, Risers and Drums. There's a slight 80's feel to some of the patches. Check out the EuropAcoustiGuitar patch! :)

Subscribers already have this in their inbox but you can always use the signup form below (or anywhere on the site) to DL this kit and all my free sounds at once.

Europa Expressionism Refill is a free Reason Refill for Reason 10.1 and above. This refill contains 401 Europa Patches defined in separate categories.

M-xxx Monophonic basslines (originally designed on octave 2)
L-xxx Low plucked basslines can also play polyphonic (originally designed on octave 2)
T-xxx Tonal bass lines can also play polyphonic (originally designed on octave 2)
B-xxx Bowed type of bass sounds. These usually contain a slow-moving envelope to build up the tension/drive
S-xxx simple sine bass lines. Most often used for subtone basses (but these add some movement inside the bassline).
W-xxx wobble bases. Basically moving around a waveform or filter is the key ingredient with these patches. Most of them are tempo synced
Chord - These set of patches contains multiple times a similar waveform but with semi notes. This allows easy access to minor/major chord type patches.
FD-xxx Falling down effect patches
FXR-xxx FX patches that are in sync with the tempo
FXUP-xxx Effect patches that rise up
key-xxx these patches are designed especially for creating melodies. While they are most often polyphonic, they also are great for building chords with these. Keys usually have a form of a dropping envelope on the filter and a dropping ADSR on the amplitude. Which mean they often have the intention to lose their strength over a longer period of time (unless you use a sustain pedal).
MML-xxx these are monophonic leads. Meaning you can only play one note at the same time. The core function of these instruments is to use overlapping notes (when you build a sequence with these patches). Often they use a technique like gliding to glide from one note to another note.
MS-xxx these patches were created for fun. Since they are meant for modular setups. Fire up some CV cables in the CV input slots and create mayhem ;)
AP-xxx these are ambient pad signature pads. Most often they use a long evolving envelope or slow-moving LFOs
PES-xxx PES stands for Pad Electro String. They are mimicking the idea you are playing some form of electronic string session. This often is surrounding waveforms such as Saw waves.
PG-xxx general purpose pads. No logic here. Just slow, random and evolving
Percussion - because Europa can. Therefor percussion
Plucked - These sounds often are similar as keys, however, the major difference here is that will use a shorter decay time in the most cases. Also, they have can drop in volume while pressing and holding the note. The idea here is to use these type of sounds in conjunction with arpeggiators, short stabbing chord progressions or some plucky type of melody.
PLA - Polyphonic leads with a lot of ambiance to them. This is often created by using a reverb tail, delay tail or something special in the release of the sound.
PLB - Poly Lead Power usually contains patches that have a slow-moving filter. Which is great to emulate the brass type of sounds or slow-moving flutes.
PLBR - Poly lead breathing sounds. These often surround the usage of noise artifact. Saw waves, or vocal chords (wavetable).
BUZZ - LOUD NOIZE!
PLI - These polyphonic sounds use a lot of inharmonic content. Just in case you need something weird, this is the place to be.
PLP - These set of sounds use a form of manipulating pitch in different ways.
PLR - these polyphonic leads use a technique to drive resonating tones. This is often created by using a resonating filter or something specific in the waveform itself.
PLS - saw wave polyphonic leads. Nothing more too add.
PLQ - square based leads. Expect some heavy usage on Pulse width modulation here.
Rhythmic - duuuuh duuuuh duuuuh duuuuh
Textures - #$%^$#$@#@#! (that type of stuff)
